Dear Deborah, Patrick and everyone at Deborah Gibson's Electric Youth ~
I had to write and thank you for a camp experience that exceeded our expectations in many ways. When Jack saw the segment on Entertainment Tonight and told me he wanted to audition, I thought it sounded like fun. But I also was realistic. We live in Ohio, and Jack is 8. Would it be worth traveling to LA for a camp?
Well, it turned out: definitely yes. At camp, Jack gained acting skills, a new passion for hip hop, new friends, and the experience of having "The" Deborah Gibson give him, a novice singer, personal voice guidance.
And then, while we were there, Jack met with a well-regarded management team who signed him. When they asked why he was in town, he talked about DGEY so excitedly they commented on his enthusiasm. The managers connected him with one of the top agencies in town who sent him on a major network audition. Jack's new confidence and acting knowledge helped him get a callback!
And oh -- the new headshot that is getting him in the door? It's the picture taken during camp by Ray Garcia, the onsite photographer. What a bonus!
In the meantime, I want to thank you all for making this camp such a positive experience and launching him into the world of performing arts, wherever it leads. Jack looks forward to returning next year.
